"I am extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity I was given in August of 2007. When I was offered the position of Assistant Director, I knew my life was going to change. I expected new challenges and rewarding experiences, but most of all I was excited about the opportunity to serve in a meaningful way. Prior to joining the agency I spent 16 years in retail management, bouncing around trying to find a fit. I started in Loss Prevention, moved to sales/operations, and tried just about every facet of big and small box retail in both large and small markets. Until the opportunity to join the Housing Authority presented itself, I had no idea my true calling would be far away from the retail world. My life has a different direction now. My career now has meaning beyond turning a profit. The work I do matters to the people I serve. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities afforded to me in this position."
"I will continue to build upon the success of this great agency through flexible policy development, mutually enriching partnerships with other agencies, and driving the culture of the Knox County Housing Authority. We have the right people on board, and have built a team that I am very proud to be a part of."
